Thank you, Mrs. Stimberlie !

Once there was a girl named Sarah, who came to America as an exchange student. She came from France and had an accent. Sarah went to her first day at JFK middle school.  The teacher, Mrs. Zaihean asked her to read from the book. Once she did, everyone started to laugh. When she was done, the teacher said good job. But, Sarah could hear her laughing under her breath.

The next day, Sarah made a new friend named Mia. She asked Mia why everyone was laughing when she talked. Mia said it was her accent. When they came to class, they noticed they had a substitute. The substitute’s name was Mrs. Stimberlie.  Mrs. Stimberlie told Sarah to speak. Once again, everyone started to laugh. The teacher asked the people that were laughing why they were laughing and they said it was Sarah’s accent. That kind teacher said she thought Sarah’s accent was beautiful. Everyone tried to make their accent like Sarah’s because they realized that it was pretty. The teacher said that only Sarah’s accent was pretty. Sarah started to get really popular. And she lived happily ever after.
